Come one, come all to the inaugural Tarborough Faire, a free, family-friendly celebration of Renaissance-inspired fun, imagination, and old-world charm in the heart of historic Tarboro, North Carolina.
Set on the Tarboro Town Common, the second-oldest town common in the United States, the Tarborough Faire brings history and fantasy to life with a full day of entertainment, interactive experiences, activities, food, vendors, and family fun.
The Faire kicks off at 10 a.m. with a grand parade, followed by a day of festivities for visitors of all ages. Featured entertainment and experiences include:
• Fight Knights Duel
• A local LARP group
• Sword Circle
• Haunted Histories by Alternative Stage and Haunted Pamlico
• MidSummer Fairies by Tar River Players
Sword Circle will also bring hands-on games and activities for visitors to enjoy. Families can take advantage of children's activities including bouncy castles and small rides, while a self-paced quest will encourage visitors to explore participating businesses throughout downtown Tarboro.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their finest Renaissance-inspired costumes and join the festivities. Additional vendors, food, activities, and event details will be announced as plans are finalized.
