A two-day fantasy village that welcomes all in the spirit of imagination to Cressing Temple Barns, Essex. Explore fantasy markets, get immersed in roleplaying and worldbuilding, learn real-life fantasy skills, cheer on combat and dance to bands, bards and minstrels. Cheer on (or enter) the archery tournament and cosplay competition, meet new friends and fabled characters, and be part of a new fantasy world in the East of England.
The whole event is set in a real medieval 'village' of beautiful beamed buildings, gardens and woodland once owned by the Knights Templar, so this doesn't feel like a 'tents in a field' festival. The premise is that World's Edge is a travelling village, lurching through time and space and picking up citizens along the way - from lost 15th-century knights to cave goblins and travellers from distant galaxies. As the village connects to our world for just one weekend each summer, will you become one of them?
